Every thing starts with a thought. In one sense one might say that it is all JUST A THOUGHT.
Our spiritual teacher Srila Prabhupada explains that there is a process of "Thinking, Feeling and then Willing".
First our thoughts cultivate strong ideas and emotions that eventually develop into strong feelings that impel us to see those thoughts thru - thus willing them into being. Finally we act upon them and this becomes the strongest nourishment for either the Good dog or the Bad dog.
Our future is determined by our thoughts and words that transform those thoughts into deeds. This is WHO we are and WHERE we are going. This gives us an identity in the world - a false ego.
We all know the old adage from the bible "as you sow, so shall you reap."
Modern day success gurus explain that if you sow a thought you will reap an action; if you sow that action you will reap a habit; sow that habit and reap a character; sow that character and reap your destiny! Whether you like it or NOT!
So be careful what you think and wish for. It just might come true!

Glad the blogs back so we can see how Krsna is keeping an eye on you.Poor dogs but nice topic for discussion. Sometimes we are so caught up with the noisy material world that we fail to listen to the whispers that are constantly trying to help us on our path.Sometimes we tend to adorn ourself with this very attractive attractive garment called
"I KNOW" which can be very misleading as it can lead us either way. Looking forward to your discussion .
Yes it has been explained that one of the most intoxicating things is to be right - about anything and everything.
This does not help.
Bhagavad-gita clearly explains that we must seek out knowledge from a spiritual master in a submissive and humble way. This means we have to admit we do NOT KNOW EVERYTHING.
We are bound up in ignorance and only one who is free can release us - then once we are free - we can assist in releasing others.
The Supersoul is inside always trying to guide us - the Mundaka Upanisad, as well as the Svetasvatara Upanisad, compare the soul and the Supersoul to two friendly birds sitting on the same tree.
We have to listen to teh Good dog within and Nourish him regularly by reading Bhagavad-gita and chanting Hare Krishna.
Simple for the Simple.
Thank you for this very precious reply filled with so much nectar.Looking forward to
session 4.
